Still, he waited… Even when the polymer soles of our astronauts made touchdown. It wasn't the right time, we were too young. Even when the first orbital fusion lasers scorched the regolith, he watched. When ancient lava filled his caverns, he moved. It wasn't the right time, but he waited too long. Once blood was spilled our diplomacy crumbled, and so did our hard work.
