full title: "insert fitting title for this rendition of heros end"
based on hero's end.
made for PXTUNES celebrates CAVE STORY ~ 20th Anniv. Arrange. listen to it: https://pxtunes.bandcamp.com/album/pxtunes-celebrates-cave-story-20th-anniv-arrange
this one was a fun one. admittedly pretty simple but captures what i wanted quite well actually. test006 is fucking nice you should use it.
some stuff to note:
trying to figure out something to do with hero's end got me to use a Keyboard™ for the first time in a while to think of things. so that's pretty nice.
i have a bit of a strange interest in contrapunctus 14 of the Art of Fugue (listen to Goncz's completion it goes hard as fuck). those with keen ears and the same interest will notice the quote in the alto and tenor on m.22: the alto plays the last measure of the second subject, and the tenor plays the last measure of the third subject (BACH). i included it because that part of the melody (especially in one beta version) reminds me of the principal theme of the Art of Fugue (the supposed fourth subject in contrapunctus 14, as Nottebohm so showed in 1881). the last measure of the second subject also appears in m.51 on the fourth voice from the highest.
oh yeah also i really like how the false relation in m.59 sounds.
the livelisten was a damn wonderful experience and i'm glad to have partook in it as well as making smth for the album itself
